Model has to be Pretty?

A friend once asked, "hey, when you select a model, does she have to be pretty and beautiful?" I said, "It helps, but what really stands out in a photo shoot is not beauty, it is rather character and confidence."

I somehow want to relate this to selection process of a business manager. There are many smart people, but what a company really needs is someone with strong good characters.

Noise... ahhh... The one thing that creates a lot of tension :)

Noise in film days is so much different than noise in current digital days. As we all know that noise happens mostly in higher ISO settings. Sometimes it also occures in shadow areas, or single tone areas as well. Higher ISO setting in film era means more light sensitivity. But in Digital age, it means more voltage amplification. What does it mean?

RAW vs JPGSome of the questions that photographers often ask is whether to use JPG or to use RAW. Seasoned wedding photographers have developed a system to use JPG on some shots and RAW on the others. The purpose is to solely conserve memory space. On my Canon D30, RAW takes 8-9MB storage space, whilst JPG only 1-2MB (small fine).

Kawah PutihKawah Putih is a very very popular pre-wedding destination in Bandung. Got a bluish-turquoise-ish lake and shrubberies around. Got hill. Got fields and farmers. However, one of the tricks about Kawah Putih as shared by Mr Willy, is to arrive the morning after a big rain. Then you are guaranteed dense fog :).
